A monkey is trying to climb a coconut tree. He walks by taking 3 steps forward and slides backwards by taking 2 steps down. Each forward step is 30 cm and each backward step is 40 cm. How many steps does it take him to climb a 100 cm tree?

John has a total of R$28.75. With that amount, he bought three cookies costing R$1.50 each, five newspapers for R$0.50 each, five flowers for R$1.25 each, and used the rest of the money on sunglasses. How much was the sunglasses worth?
