The iOS operating system offers a function to automatically block calls, but it is necessary to follow a few simple steps to configure the device. Also, the following procedure is only available for those who have iOS 13 or higher on their iPhone.
First, open your device's menu and go to settings, then scroll down to download and tap Messages. Afterwards, look for the Unknown Senders Filtering option and tap on the location to enable.
Once this is done, the message links from unknown senders cannot be opened until you add the number to contacts or reply to the message.
Open the messaging app, tap the name or number you want to block in the top corner of the conversation, then scroll down and select the Block This Caller option. You can view and manage the list of blocked numbers and contacts by going to Settings, tapping Messages, and finally tapping Blocked Contacts.
If you are receiving a lot of annoying messages and this is causing a nuisance, know that it is possible to report spam through your device's own messaging application.
If you want to do that, open the Messages app and tap on the Junk Message option. Just below the message, select Report Junk Message. Finally, tap Delete and Report Junk Message.
First of all, launch the Phone app and select the Recents tab at the bottom corner of the screen. Then, find the number you want to block and tap the “i” on the right side of the screen, then select the Block this caller option. Once that's done, just tap Block contact to confirm the action.
