For this reason, we list 5 WhatsApp tips and tricks for those who are familiar with tool or have been using it for a long time, but did not know the potential of certain features.
When it comes to technology, keeping up with trends is key to not being left behind.
See below some suggestions for using the tool that will facilitate the daily lives of users during conversations between friends and family or in work messages.
1. Different types of writing in conversations: some messenger commands allow you to customize the writing of conversations, putting them in bold, italics and even with a line in the middle.
Practice, common in Google Docs or Word, can be obtained from WhatsApp. For bold, just put (*) in each corner of the text, in the case of italics, the sign of (_) and while the crossed out asks for the inclusion of (~) at the end of the message.
2.Pin conversations on WhatsApp: the functionality is very useful for those who have that super important work group and need to always be aware of the conversations and discussions that take place in it.
Pinned conversations will always appear at the top, allowing them more attention. To pin, simply tap on a contact or group conversation, then tap on the pin icon that appears above.
3. Disable read receipt: it is not always that we are willing to reply to a message, however, unintentionally, sometimes we slip up and end up opening the conversation of a contact and not being able to respond at the time.
To avoid the discomfort brought by the blue read receipt sign, know that it is possible to disable this option. Just go to the “Settings” menu, then “Account” and then “Privacy”. In the screen that opens, deactivate the option of “Read confirmation”.
Remembering that the functionality is a two-way street, once it is disabled, it will no longer be possible to know if the other has also read your message.
4. Automatically delete messages: this option is for those looking to save space. Through the “Temporary Messages” function, the user will be able to schedule a cleanup of their conversations in groups and in private every seven days. Media such as photos and videos, for example, are also deleted from the messenger, but not from the device.
To activate the function, just open a WhatsApp conversation, then touch the name of the contact or group and, in the menu that opens, touch the option “Temporary messages”. When activated, they will regularly and automatically clean the app.
5. WhatsApp blocking by biometrics: to further strengthen security in the messenger, it is possible, in addition to the password option, to use the biometrics function to grant access to WhatsApp.
In this case, just enter the “Privacy” tab and then go to the “Fingerprint lock” option. To activate it, it is necessary to register a fingerprint, the same one that will be required for each application access.
