Once upon a time there was a traveling dog, who liked peace and, whenever he could, escaped from the fuss. He walked alone and loved nature.
He had started a long journey just three days ago. He had been walking in the rain for hours on end when he arrived at an inn. He was tired and hungry and, besides, wet from head to tail.
Very pleased to have found shelter, he lay down on the floor by the fireplace and fell asleep right there.
Suddenly, some criminals entered the inn, who began to sing and make a lot of noise. All the guests woke up, but they didn't care about it: they continued the party.
The dog, who had also been awakened, had a brilliant idea, and quickly put it into practice.
— What my bad luck! Losing eight gold coins along the way is very unlucky! he lamented aloud.
Then the thieves sneaked out of the place and went down the road. They had believed the story and were now willing to find the lost gold coins. They spent the entire night looking for them, as was to be expected.
Again the inn was silent. And the dog went back to sleep peacefully. It was a valid idea to get rid of such annoying neighbors.
