The nails? Ah… They are plaques of dead cells filled with keratin and mineral salts! I'll explain this right.
Keratin is a protein present in various parts of our body. It is present in our hair and in the outermost layer of our skin.
Look at your nail. See that it enters under the skin of the top of your finger. Underneath this thin skin is a structure called the nail root. From the root, a multiplication of cells takes place. At the same time the cells are produced, they fill up with keratin, die and are pushed forward, causing the nail to grow.
Did you know that the appearance of the nail can also indicate illness? Well… Weak, brittle, lighter or darker nails indicate a lack of vitamins, minerals or other health problems that a person may have.
And do you know what the nail doesn't have? She has no nerves, no blood vessels. Having no nerves, you don't feel pain or temperature sensation through it. Imagine if that weren't so, what suffering would it be to cut your nails?
And why don't you have blood vessels? As I said, the nail is made up of plaques of dead cells. So the nail does not need to receive oxygen or nutrients carried by the blood.
Now, this thing about eating nails is just a big shit. Underneath it is full of dirt, which accumulates throughout the day. Have you thought about everything you shouldn't have there? It's better not to even think about it…
