The expectation most recently informed by the Ministry of Citizenship is that all more than 18 million family groups have the new card in hand by December of this year.
Initially, the Auxílio Brasil cards would only be available to new beneficiaries of the program. Therefore, those who received the Bolsa Família would continue with the old benefit card.
In addition, the agency also announced that the transition between projects would take time. And because of that, the previous card could still be used by citizens.
Although the Government has made such a report, there is still no concrete date for when the new Auxílio Brasil cards will be delivered to everyone. In addition, to receive it, families need to have all their information updated in the Single Registry (CadÚnico).
According to the Ministry of Citizenship, the government will be responsible for distributing the cards. And, for this reason, the individual who changed address needs to change the data in the register to guarantee the receipt of the item.
In addition, families do not need to apply for new Auxílio Brasil cards. The dispatch will be carried out automatically for all those who are registered for the benefit. As a result, until the delivery date, family groups can continue using the Bolsa Família card or transfer money through the Caixa Tem application.
