Keep your shower always clean: tips to unclog holes

The shower is an indispensable element in our daily routines, providing relaxing moments during the shower. However, it is common that over time, the shower holes become clogged by dirt, limescale or other residues, impairing the water pressure and making the shower less pleasant. First step

The first thing to do is identify the type of clog that is occurring. If the holes are clogged with dirt and limescale, you can try to unclog them with an old toothbrush or cleaning brush. Simply rub the bristles over the affected areas, ensuring dirt is removed from the holes.

remove limescale

Another option is to use white vinegar to remove limescale. Fill a plastic bag with vinegar and place it over the showerhead, making sure the holes are submerged in the liquid. Let it sit for a few hours, then remove the bag and run the shower to see if the holes are unclogged.

severe clogging

If these options don't work, you may have a more serious clog in your shower pipes. In that case, you can use a rubber plunger to try to remove the blockage. Be sure to turn off the faucet before using the plunger and apply firm, consistent pressure to the shower head, holding the plunger in place for a few minutes. Then open the faucet again and check if the water is flowing normally.

If none of these options work, it's possible that the clog is caused by something more serious, in which case it's best to call a professional. They have the tools and skills needed to diagnose and resolve more complex issues.
