Currently, WhatsApp allows its users to hide the “last seen” for all their contacts in the address book. However, according to a specialized website, the messenger has been working on expanding the settings for this feature. So, if you want to hide the information for specific contacts, you can choose to do so by updating the tool, which is already being tested in the Beta version of the app. Check out!

The new updates were revealed by the specialized website WABetaInfo. In addition, the page also informs that, in recent days, the novelty has started to run on version 2.22.8.9 of WhatsApp Beta for iPhone (iOS). The modality was made available for Apple smartphones a few weeks after being released in compilation 2.21.23.14 for cell phones with the Android system, at the end of March.
Furthermore, the tool has been expanded since November last year. At the time, the specialized site released the update to opt for “My contacts except…” in the “Last seen” settings. By choosing this option, users can select which contacts they will not see the last time you entered the app.
However, when activating the alternative, the Internet user will not be able to see the status of other people either. Since WhatsApp warns that "if you don't share your Last Seen, you won't be able to view other people's Last Seen". Therefore, when including a contact in this list, the data will also be unavailable to you.
As exciting as the expansion of the tool is, the instant messaging application has not reported concrete dates on the wide use of the function by all users of the platform.
Currently, the feature is only available for the Beta version of the app for testing purposes.
