Workers can already receive two different payments referring to the PIS/PASEP. The first is the salary bonus that can reach R$998 for workers who performed their function in 2018 with a formal contract.
The second benefit is the annual income from the PIS/PASEP fund, paid only to formal workers between 1971 and 1988 who has not yet withdrawn the funds.

Private initiative employees who were born in the month of July already have the PIS allowance available. The PASEP, paid for civil servants, is being made available to civil servants who have a registration number zero at the end.
Therefore, payments extend until June 30, 2020. On August 15th, the next shipment will be released, which will benefit workers born in August and for civil servants with end of enrollment 1.
However, the worker can withdraw the amount until June 2020, so it is not necessary to withdraw it for now.
The amount that will be paid for the allowance can reach the minimum wage (R$998 in 2019), and varies according to the time worked in the base year. In this way, the earning of the allowance will be proportional to the time worked.
For example, if the worker has worked during the 12 months, he will receive the full amount of the salary. For those who worked only two months, the salary will be 2/12 of the minimum wage.
Due to the readjustment of the minimum wage that takes place every beginning of the year, workers who can only withdraw in 2020 will be able to receive a different amount from those who withdraw this year.
Anyone who does not withdraw by June 30, 2020 will lose the benefit. Thus, the amount will be directed to the Worker's Support Fund (FAT).
Payment of allowance is different from payment of income from PIS/PASEP fund quotas. The yield is 4.917% of the total amount available in the worker's account and can be withdrawn by anyone who worked between 1971 and 1988 and has not yet withdrawn the resource.
Of the total income, only 3.6% can be withdrawn, as previously provided by law. This percentage refers to interest and additional net income.
The remainder of the amount remains in the fund. In addition to having a formal contract during the aforementioned period, the citizen must be retired or over 60 years old.
To be entitled to receive the PIS/PASEP allowance, it is necessary that the worker meets the following requirements made by the government:
Therefore, the worker who is not sure if he meets the listed requirements can carry out a consultation. Employees of private companies should contact Caixa on 0800 726 0207 or consult through the website in “Consult Payment”. There is also the possibility to consult the "Caixa Worker" app
Public servants should consult Banco do Brasil through telephones 4004 0001 (capital cities and metropolitan areas), 0800 729 0001 (other cities) and 0800 729 0088 (hearing impaired).
Finally, to find out if the worker still has the right to quotas, public servants must access the Bank of Brazil website and private initiative employees the Caixa website.
Private initiative employees must withdraw money from Caixa units, for this it is necessary to take the citizen card and the registered password, carrying out the withdrawal in ATMs or even in lottery.
If the worker does not have a citizen card, the withdrawal must be made at a Caixa branch, with an official identification document.
In addition, if the worker was a Caixa account holder, the allowance will be deposited directly into his/her account. For this, it is necessary that the holder has a balance greater than R$1 and that the account has movement.
Civil servants, on the other hand, must carry out the withdrawal at Banco do Brasil branches, carrying an identification document. BB account holders will receive the money directly into their account.
Private sector employees are entitled to PIS, a benefit paid by Caixa Econômica Federal. The calendar for withdrawing allowances and quotas was established according to the month of birth. Check out:
All benefits will be paid until June 30, 2020, regardless of the month of birth.
Unlike employees of a private company, public servants are entitled to PASEP, paid by Banco do Brasil. The dates for withdrawing the bonus and quotas were established according to the final digit of the server's registration.
However, regardless of the number, the server will be able to withdraw until June 30, 2020. Check out how the schedule for withdrawing PASEP was established:
