Rappi, a Colombian startup that operates in 60 Brazilian cities, announced an increase of approximately 30% in the number of orders in Latin America in the first two months of 2020 compared to the last two of 2019. According to the company, the most popular categories are pharmacy, restaurants and supermarkets.
As Rappi points out, people are feeling safer ordering through the app to avoid social contact. Since the beginning of February, orders have grown by around 28% in the pharmacy category alone.
