USP announces postdoctoral fellowships aimed at black researchers

Interested parties have until May 10 to apply.

The call for Postdoctoral Scholarships for Black Researchers is open for registration throughout the country. Selected candidates will be awarded 50 grants worth R$ 8,479.20 per month for a period of 1 year, which may be extended once more for the same amount of time.

The grants are being made available by the Pro-Rectory of Inclusion and Belonging (PRIP) in conjunction with the Pro-Rectory of Research and Innovation (PRPI). The registration process is open to Brazilians with a complete doctorate and whose phenotypic characteristics correspond to black or brown identification.

This program aims to collaborate to increase racial plurality in the group of black postdocs, with the purpose of raising the opportunities for racial and gender diversity in the faculty of the University of São Paulo (USP) and in all universities Brazilian.

Enrollment

Interested parties have until May 10 to register by filling out the online form and submission of documentation, which includes:

• Updated Lattes Curriculum;
• Recent photography;
• Racial self-declaration;
• Research project;
• Work plan.
