Lesson plan - Identifying words that rhyme

To the rhymes they are linguistic resources that make up multiple literary productions.

They are constituted through the sound similarity of the words at the end of the verses and, sometimes, inside them (internal rhyme).

With regard to early childhood education, rhymes can contribute to increasing children's vocabulary, improving memorization, in addition to amusing them.

An excellent offshoot of nursery rhymes is the rhyme. A talk it is a great production to work with children, since it is an educational system that is part of oral literature and the Brazilian folklore.

Considering these aspects, read below a lesson plan aimed at identify words that rhyme with the help of speeches.

Lesson plan – Identifying words that rhyme

THEME: Identification of words that rhyme - Parlendas

GOALS:

  • Lead children to understand what rhymes and rhymes are;
  • Enable the little ones to have contact with the most famous speeches;
  • Promote greater socialization through the reading of speeches and group work.

DEVELOPMENT:

Duration: two classes

Class 1:

  • Invite the children to sit in a circle.
  • Start the class with the contextualization of words that rhyme.
  • Then, try to probe the knowledge of the little ones about rhymes.
  • Then, enter the conversations. Say what they are and give examples.
  • Take the main examples written on cardboard to the room, two or three are enough.
  • Ask the group to collectively recite the exemplified sentences.
  • After reciting, talk to the children about the structure, word sequences and versification of these phrases.
  • Afterwards, divide them, preferably, into four groups and propose the elaboration of speeches.
  • Emphasize that the rhymes should be well highlighted in creative speeches.
  • Also say that these speeches will be built in the classroom in the next class.

Class 2:

  • Return to the aspects raised in the previous class.
  • Regroup the little ones.
  • Supervise the production of speeches. Give tips and good suggestions, but try not to take away the children's autonomy.
  • Distribute cardboard and say that the productions must be recorded on them, as they will be displayed on the walls of the school.
  • Set aside approximately 35 minutes at the beginning of the class to create the speeches.
  • At the end of this time, ask each group to read their sentences.
  • Note the rhyme markings.
  • Then, display them on the walls of the school. It will serve as an incentive to read!

NECESSARY RESOURCES:

For each group book

  •  1 cardboard
  •  1 sticky tape
  •  1 box of colored pencils

The teacher should also provide a card for you.

ASSESSMENT:

It would be interesting for the teacher to consider the production of speeches and student participation as an extra note. But this is a personal criterion of the teacher, so we leave it only as a suggestion.
