SME-Rio Contest offers 351 Vacancies for Teachers

This Tuesday (21) the enrollment for the public tender of the Municipal Secretary of Education of Rio de Janeiro (SME-RJ) begins. The event offers 351 vacancies for elementary school teachers.

Opportunities are broken down as follows:

• There are 210 opportunities for the position of teacher in the early years of elementary school, and to apply it is necessary to have a higher normal course or a full degree in Pedagogy with qualification in teaching in the early years of Teaching Fundamental.
• And 141 vacancies distributed to professionals trained in the specialties of Portuguese Language (67), History (37) and Sciences (37).

salary and benefits

In the SME-RJ contest, for a workload of 40 hours per week, the remuneration for teachers is BRL 6,073.29. In addition, professionals will be entitled to benefits such as a culture bonus of BRL 182.18 and transportation allowance of BRL 178.20. Both already added up in the amount of the total remuneration.

Registration and exemption fee

Entries for the SME-RJ public tender can be made from 10 am this Tuesday (21), and will remain open until June 3 at City Hall page.

The registration fee is R$ 100 and can be paid until June 4th at 10 pm.

Unemployed candidates with salaries that do not exceed three minimum wages may request exemption from the payment fee. The request must be made by the 24th of May also through the City Hall website, and competitors must also appear between the 28th and 31st, from 10am to 1 pm, or from 2 pm to 4 pm, at Clube do Servidor, Rua Ulisses Guimarães S/N, Cidade Nova neighborhood, to deliver documents that prove the information provided to exemption.

Selection steps

Candidates running for elementary school teacher vacancies – early years, will take an objective test on August 11th.

The other candidates will do so on July 28th. Everyone will have up to four hours to answer the test and the required content varies according to the specialties that you can check in the notice on the city hall website.

In addition to the objective evaluations, competitors must take discursive and title tests. The discursive test will be held on the same day as the objective tests.

For candidates for the position of elementary school teacher – early years, the evaluation will have as its theme: Dynamics and methodology of the teaching pedagogical practice: the organization of time and educational space in the work with the initial years of Teaching Fundamental”.

For the other candidates, the proposed topic will be related to the subject of Specific Knowledge.
