Creative Learning at Home Program offers family fun

A Brazilian Creative Learning Network launched a project with recreational activities for family members to play with children. This is one of the alternatives to offer safe fun, without leaving home, as recommended by health authorities, due to the new coronavirus.

Provocative content is available, which reinforces the importance of a routine full of games with children. One of the highlights of the portal is the step-by-step guide to creating a “hands-on Corner”, so that the little ones and their families stay connected.

In addition, all these games are linked to didactics, that is, the child can learn while playing. All this in a very simple way, as the materials used are easy to find, such as colored pencils, cardboard, markers and toys.

Creative Learning

A creative learning it is based on the possibility of the individual to learn while also creating something meaningful, generating natural habits. In addition, all ideas are valued, such as poems, drawings, creation of cars, among others.

Creative learning has four pillars, namely:

  • Project (create something)
  • Passion (meaning)
  • Peers (with other people)
  • Playing (free and fun)

According to Leo Burd, the executive director of the Brazilian Creative Learning Network, this is a strategy so that children and families can connect through creative activities, all with materials simple.

Burd also explains that these activities work on different skills, such as collaboration, empathy, creativity, encouraging work with passion on projects that are relevant to people.
