The Cave of the Hands is a series of caves in Argentina. Here, over 9,000 years ago, people painted their hands on the walls. The wall above is one of many that is covered with hand silhouettes.
It is believed that these silhouettes were made by placing a hand on the wall and then blowing liquid pigment through a hollow bone. The cave paintings are so significant that the ‘Cueva de las Manos’ is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
