Check out 4 rare things in physical appearance:
1. widow's peak
Widow's peak is the name given to the shape of the hair on the head, in the region close to the forehead. In this place a “V” is formed by the hairline. This unusual feature is due to the fact that most people only have “straight lines” on top of their heads.
In addition to being rare to be seen around, this characteristic has been shown to be present in only a third of the total population, according to some studies carried out.
2. double row of lashes
Another rare feature is the rows of double eyelashes. Some people are born with a lot more eyelashes than normal, and this could be due to an extra row of eyelashes in the region.
Although having many eyelashes is considered aesthetically more beautiful, this feature is considered a disorder. Once, there is the abnormal growth of eyelashes in the orifices of Meibomian sebaceous glands.
Thus, despite being an “attractive” and rare characteristic, it usually causes a lot of irritation in the eyes due to the greater contact of the eyelashes with the eyeball.
3. different pupils
The common thing is that the contraction and dilation of our pupils happen in an almost symmetrical way. However, some people have a rare condition (between 15% to 30% chance of happening) where the pupils are different sizes.
This condition is recognized by medicine under the name of anisocoria.
4. hole near the ear
According to several studies of human evolution, currently human beings have many remnants of characteristics of their ancestors that are no longer used.
An example would be a hole near the ear known as the preauricular sinus, which relates to gill openings in fish for breathing underwater.
Thus, this feature was found in only 10% of cases, and more common in Africans and Asians.
