The myth of the Easter Bunny distributing colored eggs actually comes from the Egyptians. They were the first to learn this tradition. These people saw the egg as a symbol of birth and life. They believed that the Earth was born from an egg and even buried their nobles with eggs in their tombs.
Over time, Christian and Egyptian traditions blended and today we have our Easter celebrations. Thinking about this date, we brought below some Easter activities and games that can be made for children.
1 – Egg hunting
Hide several plastic eggs in the place where the game will be held and promote a prize egg hunt with some kind of gift of your choice. It's a fun way for kids to burn off their energy on this date.
2 – Exercise challenge
Fill the plastic eggs with activities and physical challenges for the little ones. Offer some sort of reward at the end of the game.
3 – Easter Bunny Pinata
A piñata in the shape of an Easter bunny is perfect for children to enjoy this festivity. In addition, the piñata adds a special touch to your Easter party decor.
4 – Egg on the spoon
Put eggs in spoons and see who can reach the finish line first.
5 – Throwing eggs
Kids will love getting in on the fun of tossing eggs into a basket. To make the game more attractive you can give some prizes to whoever hits the most eggs. Be sure to use artificial eggs so you don't have to deal with messes later.
6 – Easter Bingo
Make cards with fun figures that refer to Easter. Children and even adults will love to participate in a competition like this. Don't forget to reward the winner.
7 – Throwing rings
Buy stuffed or inflatable bunny ears and use some hoops to promote this activity. If these items are difficult to find, you can do a traditional ring toss and award an Easter egg to the winner.
8 – Easter Run
Give the little ones some face painting and challenge them to a special Easter race. In addition to being guaranteed fun, children will be doing activities that are healthy for their bodies.
9 – Egg painting
For this prank you must use eggshells and paint. Little ones will love the chance to express their creativity.
10 – Feed the rabbit
This educational game will help children learn more about the shapes of objects. You can start by drawing various carrot shapes on pieces of paper. Then ask the child, for example, to find the round carrot.
11 – Easter coloring pages
Offer a series of drawings with pictures related to Easter so that the children can have fun.
12 – Jujube on popsicle stick
Have the children try to balance the candy on a popsicle stick placed in their mouths. The first one to balance six on their stick wins!
13 – Put the tail on the rabbit
An American classic could not be missing from our list. Print the figure of a rabbit, without the tail. Then blindfold the child and ask him to attach the tail to the figure.
