A gay couple from Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo, was very successful on social media when sharing their daily lives after adopting five children, João Miguel, 2 years old, Iara, 4 years old, Herry, 5 years old, Wendel, 7 years old, and Douglas, 12 years.
The 5 children, in fact, were Jhonatan's second cousins and, by negligence
, were taken from their mother and taken to a shelter. Afraid of ending up seeing the children separated in different adoption processes, the couple, who always visited the children at the shelter, decided to build a big family. In the program “Domingão com Huck”, the couple participated in the painting “The Wall” and got R$ 73 thousand reais, used to buy a car with 7 seats.
After the episode of “Domingão com Huck” aired, presenter Luciano Huck released a crowdfunding created to support Daniel, who had to leave his job to dedicate himself to caring for his 5 children.
The presenter published some time later about the crowdfunding:
“Our chain of good worked! In less than 24 hours, more than 360 thousand reais were donated to the family of Daniel and Jhonatan, characters from The Wall on @domingao yesterday. All together, helping us, we go far. I wish your family much love.”
Daniel thanked the presenter and all donors for their help.
In an interview with gshow, Daniel Braz said that the children are receiving psychological help from a professional to face this very difficult moment and continue with their routine. He explained that he also has help:
“I am managing to organize myself. I am getting help from close friends and the kids are going to school normally. Next week I can already work.”
