If you're a video game fan, you've certainly heard of Grand Theft Auto (GTA), the iconic game which transports us to an open world full of action.
But imagine if someone brought the game universe to real life, more specifically to a themed restaurant. That was the idea of a group of fans who decided to open a Cluckin' Bell restaurant, identical to the one in the GTA game.

The themed restaurant was opened by Smokin J’s BBQ during the 2022 San Diego Comic Con and stood out for bringing the aesthetics and uniforms present in the game.
The place was so successful that the company Take-Two Interactive, responsible for Rockstar Games and the GTA franchise, took a drastic decision against the new fastfood venture.
In GTA, the location is a parody of food chains such as Taco Bell. Thus, the clothes, drinks and scenery serve as a background for the actions within the game.
Despite being a tribute to the GTA universe, Take-Two Interactive did not like it and sent a notification for the restaurant to no longer carry out activities in 2023. To the Rockstar Intel news portal, Smokin J's BBQ reported that:
“Last night, we received a cease and desist letter from the law firm representing Take-Two Interactive. In response, we were forced to remove the Burger Shot event that was scheduled for this weekend.”
However, the group's decision was a little different than expected. They opted to continue with the themed restaurant, but changed the name of the venue:
“We will continue to do a Cluckin' Bell-like installation next weekend, but this time it will be a parody installation called Dont Cluckin Tell.”
Finally, even with Take-Two Interactive's attempt, there is still time to get to know the restaurant of GTA in real life and enjoy the menu and aesthetics of the place.
