Another scam at gas stations was discovered recently, this time in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. A post located in the city of São José dos Pinhais is now the target of investigations after being caught committing a crime during a inspection operation that was attended by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) and the State Institute of Weights and Measures (Ipem).
The case is being investigated, but so far, there have been no arrests at the scene. It is important for the population to report similar cases to facilitate investigations. Understand more below!

You gas stationshave been frequent targets of scams that harm consumers. However, a service station in Pinhais, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, found a new way to deceive customers.
During an inspection operation, the Civil Police caught the establishment supplying less than 260 ml of gasoline per liter paid by the customer. Although the pump indicated a liter, the vehicles received only a quarter of the requested amount.
The PCPR action was attended by agents from the ANP and IPEM, bodies responsible for regulating and supervising the fuel sector.
The pumps where the coup was carried out were banned because their mandatory seals had been broken. A police inquiry was opened to determine the responsibility of those involved in the fraudulent scheme.

The inspection operation at gas stations is a monthly routine for PCPR. Delegate Cássio André highlights the importance of the population denouncing suspected cases, which facilitates the work of the authorities in identifying and punishing those responsible for the scams.
A complaintit can be carried out anonymously by telephones 197 (PCPR) and 181 (Dial-Denunciation), in addition to direct contact with the Civil Police investigation team.
