Instagram is currently one of the leading social media platforms in the world. Boomerang and Hyperlapse were two important tools for those using Instagram to create content. Thus, one of the ways to streamline posts on the platform was to use these fundamental resources. However, some users recently found their withdrawal strange and questioned what was happening.
With that, Instagram clarified that the reason for removing these two features is related to the platform's attempt at centralization. In this way, they can still be found within Instagram itself, although they have undergone some changes.
In this sense, some changes include the fact that the user will no longer be able to locate the programs in the search location, as well as there will be no more listing during search in applications linked to the Instagram.
As stated earlier, standalone apps have already been removed, however, users who have these features on their phone will still be able to use them for some time. It is not yet known the exact date on which they will “expire”, but they will lose their functionality over time.
Therefore, if you are thinking of deleting them from your cell phone, think carefully before doing so, as you will not be able to download them again. It is worth mentioning that this condition is for both Android and iOS devices.
