Many still have doubts about the duration of the sickness benefit. Normally, the receipt period is determined by the INSS medical expert, at the conclusion of the expertise, even before the release of the benefit.
This is due to the fact that, when evaluating the individual to be insured, the doctor will indicate a period for the full recovery of the worker's clinical condition. This period will be the same as the duration of the benefit.
However, in cases where the INSS does not determine a duration of the aid, the period to be taken into account is what is established by law, that is, 120 days.

However, after the application of the Reform, in November 2019, when calculating the amount of sick pay all salaries are taken into account, including those at the beginning of the career, which are generally more lows.
