Who can receive the permanent aid that will offer BRL 1,200 in 2022?

Permanent aid is special for single-parent families, that is, those with single mothers. This new bill guarantees permanent aid of R$ 1,200.00 and is still pending in the Chamber of Deputies. About the project

Approved by the Women's Rights Commission, the new social benefit will be launched in 2022 after passing in plenary. Only women who are heads of household, without a partner or spouse, and who have a minor person under their guardianship receive this aid. In addition, they must have a family income of up to half a minimum wage (R$606.00) per person, or even a total family income of up to three minimum wages per month (R$3,636.00).

Also, for cases in which the permanent aid is more advantageous than the payment of the Brazil Aid, one of them must be suspended while the other is received. However, there is no need to register to receive the aid, and the data used to define those eligible for benefits are those from the Cadastro Único database in Dateprev.

Requirements for receiving permanent assistance

Thus, only single mothers who meet the following eligibility criteria will be entitled to permanent assistance in the amount of R$ 1,200:

• Be of legal age;
• Do not have an active formal job;
• Does not hold a social security or assistance benefit or beneficiary of unemployment insurance or of a federal income transfer program, with the exception, under the terms of paragraphs 1 and 2, Bolsa Família;
• Has a per capita monthly family income of up to half the minimum wage (R$606.00) or a total monthly family income of up to three minimum wages (R$3,636.00);
• Be enrolled in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government;
• Be an individual microentrepreneur (MEI);
• Who is an individual contributor to the General Social Security System who contributes in the form of the caput or item I of § 2 of art. 21 of Law No. 8,212, of July 24, 1991; or
• Be an informal worker, employed, self-employed or unemployed, of any nature, including intermittent inactive.

At the beginning of the pandemic, these women considered heads of household received during the 9-month period o Emergency Aid in double quota, worth up to R$ 1,200 for 5 months and R$ 600 for another 4 installments. Finally, the project was approved by the committee in November and is now awaiting the designation of a rapporteur by the Social Security and Family Committee. However, for real, it will still need approval from other committees, the Federal Senate and sanction by President Jair Bolsonaro.
