The deadline for amending the renewal of the contracts of the New Student Financing Fund (FIES) has been extended to December 28, 2018. So far, around 70% of students have completed or started the amendment process. The procedures must be done through the financing electronic page.
The student who needs to change information in the contract, such as changing the guarantor, must attend a Caixa agency. In this specific case, the student must appear with the new guarantor and present the new supporting documents.

Fies grants funding at private institutions of higher education. The new Fies, launched last year, has modalities according to family income.
The Fies modality has zero interest for candidates with monthly per capita family income of up to three minimum wages. In this case, the minimum funding is 50% of the course, while the maximum semester limit is R$ 42,000.
The modality called P-Fies is for candidates with per capita family income between 3 and 5 minimum wages. In this case, financing is carried out under conditions defined by the financial agent operating the credit, which may be a private bank or constitutional and development funds.
