Throughout our life, we live with many people, and each one of them has a way, a way of acting. However, we cannot normalize relations in which, somehow, the way of being of the other makes us uncomfortable.
Thus, it is important to recognize negative situations, such as when we feel “stepped on” by another person, in order to put an end to it and maintain only balanced relationships.

So that you can identify if you are being too permissive in your relationships, we have listed some warning signs. See below!
1. You have a hard time saying "no". It's critical to set boundaries, even more so in situations where you don't agree with the other person.
2. You forget yourself to always be trying to please the other. Situations like this, unfortunately, tend to happen a lot in romantic relationships.
3. To avoid fights and conflicts, you refrain from giving your opinion or simply disagreeing and saying the reasons why you didn't like something.
4. You need to think a lot before saying anything.
5. Your self-esteem is damaged and decreases whenever you feel undervalued.
6. You donate and it is not reciprocated. The lack of reciprocity is also a feeling generated through the lack of the other.
7. You tend to want to solve everything. However, the other does not help you and much less supports you.
8. Do you tolerate being always seen as the wrong one or simply put yourself in that position most or all of the time, even if the other disrespects you.
9. You are afraid of the other. When you're afraid of the other person, it's usually because he (she) verbally attacks you and doesn't value you.
10. You feel like you've lost your identity. You no longer recognize yourself and feel that you are molded to the expectations of the other.
If you identify with any of these points, it's important to reflect on how your relationships are going and take the necessary actions to establish healthy boundaries. Remember: your mental health and self-esteem are at stake!
