Even a telephone directory, which uses nicknames instead of first and last names, is published in the city annually. The municipality is also known for its large foundry and metallurgical hub, one of the largest in Latin America.

Cláudio is also the birthplace of important political references and maintains numerous cultural and artistic manifestations that qualify it as a diverse municipality.
