A hybridization is a rare and curious phenomenon in nature, which happens when animals of different species reproduce and generate mixed-race offspring.

The liger, the result of crossing a male lion with a female tiger, is possibly the most famous hybrid animal. This majestic feline is also the largest of them all, usually weighing around 450 kg.
Although they are rare in nature, they have an appearance and behavior that resemble lions, but with tiger-like traits, such as the ability to swim and a striped back.
When a male tiger mates with a lioness, tigers appear, which are considerably smaller than ligers.
They inherit traits from both parents, including the ability to roar and a preference for living in groups. In fact, the tiger is very similar to the liger, with few distinctions in appearance.

Zebroids are hybrids resulting from the crossing between a zebra and an equine species. They often sport a striped coat on some parts of their body.
However, they maintain the general appearance of the equine species with which they were crossed. These animals are generally infertile.
The Jaglion is the result of a cross between a male leopard and a lioness. These beautiful felines inherit characteristics from both parents, such as spots and an imposing physical structure.

However, there are some specimens of albino jaglions, as in the image, that impress visitors to the zoos and reserves where they live.

The beefalo is a hybrid between a bison and cattle. These animals were bred with the intention of combining the resistance of bison with the docility of cattle. Additionally, they are often bred to beef cattle.
The cama is a hybrid between a dromedary (camel with one hump) and a llama. Because they combine the resistance of the dromedary with the carrying capacity of the llama, they are used as pack and transport animals in some regions.
