Originated in 2015 by the company Pax Labs, this nicotine electronic cigarette shocked the world by reaching a valuation of US$38 billion in 2018, reshaping the global tobacco industry.
At first, it seemed like another success story emerging from Silicon Valley. However, the narrative took an unexpected turn with the emergence of an epidemic linked to the still unknown effects of prolonged vaporizer use.
Based on the acclaimed 2021 book “Big Vape: The Incendiary Rise of Juul”, written by Jamie Ducharme, health correspondent for Time magazine, the documentary series is divided into four episodes revealing.

Acclaimed filmmaker R.J. Cutler is the name behind directing the latest documentary from Netflix. This production promises to engage the public with its in-depth approach to technological revolutions and their consequences.
