DS Automobiles, part of the Stellantis group, which also owns Fiat, announced an innovative partnership with OpenAI, integrating the popular chatbot ChatGPTin your cars in Europe.
The partnership follows in the footsteps of Mercedes-Benz, which tested ChatGPT in the United States, and promises to revolutionize the driver experience on selected DS models.

The models covered with this technology are the DS 3, DS 4, DS 7 and DS 9, equipped with the Iris System and voice recognition.
DS Automobiles is excited to offer such functionality to its customers, with the initial offer being extended to 20,000 owners at no additional cost.
Additionally, like Mercedes, DS plans to launch a six-month pilot testing program, allowing owners to explore the ChatGPT capabilities in their vehicles.
Yves Bonnefont, chief software officer at Stellantis, expressed his enthusiasm for the integration of ChatGPT into the brand's automobiles:
“Since ChatGPT became available, we have worked to integrate it into our own systems. And we are pleased to be the first to offer this innovation in Europe”, says Bonnefont proudly.

To activate the digital assistant, users can simply initiate an interaction through the voice command “Ok Iris” or press the dedicated Iris System button on the steering wheel.
You ChatGPT features they can be used to plan travel itineraries, provide information on topics of personal interest, such as football, gastronomy and cinema, and much more.
DS Automobiles believes that such integration will offer “a new dimension of interaction between driver and vehicle”.
Activation of ChatGPT is done remotely via the DS services online store and will be available in the local languages of France, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain and Italy.
To participate in the test program, interested parties must have activated the Iris System between October 19, 2023 and February 29, 2024.
The partnership between DS and OpenAI promises to bring a more informative and interactive driving experience for European drivers, representing another step towards a future with automobiles intelligent.
