The phenomenon is expected to last longer compared to September, potentially lasting more than five days. Thus, the early mornings will lose the presence of cold air, which will make the nights equally hot. The days will be warmer, especially in Mato Grosso do Sul and Southwest of Mato Grosso.
According to Climatempo's forecast, temperatures in the interior of the state of São Paulo will reach 40ºC. On Saturday (11), the thermometers they can reach 47ºC in some areas of Mato Grosso do Sul, staying above 42ºC in Goiás, Tocantins and Mato Grosso. High temperatures are also expected in parts of the South and Southwest.
At the weekend, temperatures will be high in almost all regions of the country. However, the highest records will occur on Monday (13), mainly in Espírito Santo, in the east of Minas Gerais and in some points in the Matopiba region (Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia).
Therefore, it is recommended that Brazilians take due care to avoid dehydration and sunburn due to high temperatures. The Ministry of Health recommends increasing water intake during the day, avoiding physical activity during the hottest periods and also avoiding exposure to the sun from 10am to 5pm.
