This release follows The Big Bang event, which ended the original Fortnite era and featured Eminem. The new feature will be available in Fortnite from December 7th.
Epic and Lego announced in April last year a collaboration to create a space in metaverse focused on fun for children and families. This partnership led to the announcement of Lego Fortnite, one of the first resulting initiatives.
Shortly after the partnership was announced, Epic received an investment of US$2 billion, shared by Sony and Kirkbi, the investment company of the founding family of the Lego Group.
Recently, Epic implemented age ratings in Fortnite, a change in line with the introduction of Lego Fortnite, rated for players ages 10 and up (E10+). However, some of these changes have been rolled back, and more significant changes are expected with Fortnite's v28.00 update on December 3rd.
