A puma, also called cougar and bay lion, was captured in the garage of a residence in the city of Varjão de Minas, on Sunday morning (10/22).
A team of firefighters was called and had voluntary help from a veterinarian, with a postgraduate degree in Anesthesiology, and also with the support of the Military Environmental Police, who outlined strategies to capture the animal.
The feline was large and offered resistance to the approach. The military said that several capture attempts were made using suitable materials. The concern was to carry out the capture in a safe way for the team on site, for the animal and for the animal. population of the city, as several people gathered nearby to follow the works.
