CHRISTIAN TEACHER'S DAY
Even if I tell all the stories in the Bible and sing all the songs, but if I don't love my students, I will be like the dumb dictionary or like the encyclopedia that doesn't feel.
Even though I'm at church every Saturday on time; preparing all the lessons and holding big events for the children, but if I don't have love for my students, I will be nothing in my ministry before God.
Even though I practice beneficence, distributing charity among the poor, and even though I let myself wear out in studies and in I work in the department of my Church, but if I don't have love for my students, none of this will benefit me in my effort to teach.
The Christian teacher is patient, kind, not envious, treating others lightly, or puffing up. When there is love, the Christian teacher does not seek his own interests, does not behave with indecency, does not easily get irritated, does not suspect his colleague badly, does not remain indifferent to work, but acting in favor of others, building a more just and egalitarian society, all in the name of the truth and love of God, manifested in Christ Jesus, the great Master.
It is this divine love that inspires us and gives us strength to suffer everything, believe everything, hope everything, endure everything in our mission. If there is love, the Christian teacher will always be a great teacher, innovative, participative, creative… he will have the vision that without Christ the world will never know true peace.
When I was a child, I understood that teacher's day was made up of gifts, roses, candy, cards and parties. When, however, I became a teacher, I forgot these highly material ideas. I then came to understand the true value of being a teacher.
