Maria Emília is fifteen years old and decided to write a book based on her school life. As one of her teachers, Batista, was always scribbling things in a little black notebook, she had the idea of creating a mystery around it. What did Batista so often write down? The students' bad creations? Or had nothing to do with school? What if the characters stole the notebook to find out what was in it?
It turns out that life often imitates art: one day Batista's notebook disappeared and strange facts began to happen. Maria Emilia and Miguel, her friend who read everything she wrote and offered tips to help her, were amazed — how could it be? — and decided to solve the mystery...
In this savory novel — in which Julio Cortázar, J. D. Salinger and Clarice Lispector, as well as apparently hairy ideas as a narrator and textual coherence —, Ruth Rocha puts the reader inside the writers' head, establishes complex relationships between fiction and reality and undoubtedly opens many doors in the (true, imagined) world of teenagers.
