In fact, two ancient practices were responsible for determining this custom. The first comes from the time of cavalry duels. To face their opponents, the participants carried the spears in their right hand. And the other was actually defensive behavior: if a man came across a stranger on a narrow road, the wiser would be let him go through the right, because that way you could easily draw your sword if there was an attack attempt by the unknown. The tradition ended up being maintained in the act of driving.
