A collective action will mark, this Saturday (9), the “D Day – All Against Solid Waste” in the Municipal Park of Mindu, in the Parque 10 neighborhood, in Manaus. About five hundred people, including students and professors from higher education institutions, will remove floating waste carried by the current to the banks of the local stream. All participants will receive certificates.
This is the sixth edition of the event that is carried out by the Municipal Environment and Sustainability Secretariat, with support from the Municipal Public Cleaning Secretariat and partner institutions.
According to the Manaus City Hall, last year, the mobilization collected almost four tons of waste from the banks of the Mindu stream.
