NAME:

chess horse

Standing under a tree, Mistral and his friend watched Gringo play in the field.
At night, the two horses were relieved, because finally the owner of the farm went to fetch them, to put them in the stable. When they got there, two packages were waiting for them.
– Look what I brought you from the city – the owner announced happily to Mistral and Zephyr.
The two horses shyly approached and discovered two magnificent plaid blankets; one red and one green. In two minutes, with just a few movements, the owner tenderly covered the animals' frozen flanks.

– You are the most beautiful horses in the region! – exclaimed the owner.
Gringo said no more, and all winter long, he kept his blanket pierced.
