According to a survey conducted by the Georgia University of Health Sciences, in the United States, young people who meditated for 15 minutes twice a day had less cardiac overload after four months.
The research included the participation of 62 black adolescents ______ hypertension, divided into two groups. The first half of young people meditated twice a day for 15 minutes. The other only received guidance on how to reduce blood pressure and the risk of cardiovascular disease, but did not meditate. The study lasted four months. Among the young people who had the meditation sessions, the left ventricular mass, an indicator for future cardiovascular diseases, was lower at the end of the research, when compared to the group control.
