It is the largest dolphin in the river, reaching up to 2.7 meters in length. For a long time, this animal was believed to live only in freshwater environments, but recently groups of porpoises have been seen swimming in brackish waters. Is that these dolphins have adaptations that allow them to get used to changes in salinity of the environment, that is, that they can feed and reproduce, even if the water becomes saltier. Because of these curious characteristics, many legends revolve around this species. These myths are passed on from parents to children, making him a feared animal, especially in the Amazon. On the other hand, in some places, people's contact with botos is changing this view. Thankfully, they are extraordinary animals!
