Check out in this we post some models and tips for your Water Day Project for Elementary Education.
O World Water Day was created by the UN (United Nations) on March 22, 1992. The 22nd of March, of each year, is dedicated to the discussion on the various themes related to this important natural good.
But why did the UN care about water when we know that two thirds of planet Earth is made up of this precious liquid? The reason is that a small amount, around 0.008%, of the total water on our planet is potable (safe for consumption). And as we know, a large part of the sources of this water (rivers, lakes and dams) is being contaminated, polluted and degraded by the predatory action of man. This situation is worrisome, since, in the near future, there may be a shortage of water for the consumption of a large part of the world's population. With this in mind, the World Water Day was instituted, whose main objective is to create a moment of reflection, analysis, awareness and elaboration of practical measures to solve this problem.

On March 22, 1992, the UN also released an important document: the “Universal Declaration of Water Rights” (read below). This text presents a series of measures, suggestions and information that serve to raise the ecological awareness of the population and governments for the water issue.
