O Indian's day is celebrated annually in April 19th in Brazil. This important date serves to remember and reinforce the identity of the Brazilian and American indigenous people in current history and culture. And thinking about it, we selected these wonderful Indian Day Activities, ready to print and apply to early graders.

Paint the drawings and cover the dots!
Cover the lines and form the vowel I of the word Ilha.
Note the letter I
Cut and paste a vowel i in each hollow:

Another really cool idea to work on this date is the making of party favors, check out some suggestions below:
Discover the sound of this letter and then add corn:
Look for pictures or draw in place of missing words:

Perhaps someone would still consider playing the songs “Vamos Brincar de Índio” by Xuxa and “Curumin Iê Iê” by Mara Maravilha for children. Other more sophisticated ones may prefer “Um Índio” by Caetano or “Indians” by Legião Urbana. There are also those “new age” songs with references to North American Indians.
But regardless of your musical taste, don't just play songs ABOUT indigenous, play songs FROM indigenous. Check out some suggestions:

In addition to being delicious and nutritious, the foods can instigate a debate about biodiversity and the work of agriculture and genetic improvement that indigenous people have been doing for thousands of years. How about corn cake, tapioca, popcorn and native fruits?
