It's the middle of the night. Giraffe's parents Giro tiptoe into his room.
– Honey, wake up! - Mom whispers. – Put your slippers on and come out here!
Confused, Giro rubs his eyes and staggers outside.
- Look up! - Daddy mumbles.
Wow! Vush! Wow! Vush! hoooo!
Up in the dark sky, shooting stars leave a trail of light and then disappear.
- Wow! exclaims Giro now wide awake.
Every few seconds, one or another star shoots across the sky and leaving a luminous tail.

– Does this happen every night? – Giro wants to know.
– No, not every night. You can see some shooting stars throughout the year, but mid-August is the best time to see many of them – Mommy Giraffe explains, looking up at the sky.
- Wow! There goes one! One more… And one more! - Giro gets excited - Should I make a wish? – he asks.
“You can certainly try,” Mom smiles. – I don't know if it will work, but it won't hurt!
“I wish I could watch the shooting stars until I fall asleep,” Giro says.
– That wish can come true – Mom smiles. She protects him with a warm blanket and everyone lies down on the grass, watching the stars.
