Heat it is the energy that is transferred from one body to another when there is a difference in temperature.

heat is also called Thermal energy.

there are sources natural (which comes from nature) and artificial (which are man-made) heat.

• Natural heat sources: the sun, lightning, human body, center of the earth, etc.
• Artificial sources of heat: oven, hair dryer, electric iron, light bulb, etc.

With the action of heat a body can vary from temperature, change of physical state and dilate. When receiving heat, the body heats up, increasing in temperature. When it loses heat it cools down, it decreases in temperature.

The instrument used to measure temperature is the thermometer.
