the little brave

The Brave Squirrel was called that because he was always very brave. Despite being little Valente he was not afraid of anything. He had already gnawed a very thick rope to free the zebra from a trap and had also climbed the tallest tree in the forest to remove the bem-te-vi that was trapped in the nest.
- When I grow up I want to be like you, Valente - said the baby rabbit.
“I'm happy to be a good example, little one,” Valente replies.

Whenever they needed help, the animals called for Valente. The squirrel's bravery bothered the lion. The king of the forest did not like to see a squirrel admired by everyone.
“This Valente is nothing,” said the lion.
“Don't say that, you might need it,” said the snake.
That same afternoon, the lion stuck its paw in a thorn and the pain was so bad that it couldn't even move. Valente was just passing by and removed the thorn from the forest king's paw. The lion was very grateful and gave Valente the medal for bravest animal.
