Christmas had arrived. The rabbit, the lizard and the piglet returned to their respective homes, happy and content. They had just taken a walk in the woods. Ah! They had also had hot chocolate at the Beija-Flor cafeteria. They felt warm and comfortable.
It was then that they saw some kids throwing snowballs at a poor, helpless puppy. They quickly chased away the bored pranksters and approached the little dog.
— Poor thing! exclaimed the piglet. "He's cold!" And how it trembles!
— See? It even got snow in my ears! complained the little animal.
Then he explained that he was called Alone because he had no parents and was lonely. Seeing this, the friendly trio decided to take the puppy home, so that he could take a hot bath and feed. He could stay with them for a few days, until they found someone willing to adopt him.
Unfortunately, they didn't find anyone who wanted to keep him. Alone he returned to the streets, as soon as he recovered from the cold and hunger.
However, fate wanted the panther, upon returning home, to trip and fall on the hard, icy ground. As he was around, Alone hurried to get help. And it was thanks to him that the panther was soon rescued and medicated. Grateful for the orphan puppy's gesture of kindness, she decided to accept him in her home as a child. Alone you would never again feel lonely in your life!
