“Sítio do Picapau Amarelo, The musical”

This musical premiered in São Paulo, at Teatro Procópio Ferreira, on October 12, 2008 and continued its season until March 31, 2009. Very faithful to Lobato's work, the lively and agile musical had an excellent adaptation by Flávio de Souza and a sure direction by Roberto Talma, who had already directed the television version of Rede Globo in 2001. (…) The play efficiently rescued several musical themes already used in the classic program of the 70s, such as the songs “Sítio do Picapau Amarelo”, “Narizinho” and “A Cuca Te Pega”, as well as some songs created especially for the musical.
