Some people like to watch the birds that appear near their homes. Others walk in squares and parks looking to spot different species. But conservation areas, such as national parks, are the places where we can find the greatest variety of birds. Did you know that bird watchers travel the world to see rare species?
But it doesn't matter if you're watching a ticking in your backyard, in Brazil, or a kiwi, a typical New Zealand bird. The essence of bird watching is learning to admire these creatures, learning about them and with them.
