NAME:

Maricota, the singing centipede

Maricota learned to fly and swim, but, something was missing, she wanted to learn to sing. Hearing the millipede's wails, bem-te-vi offered to teach her how to sing. The two rehearsed for days and days under the inga tree, the centipede made an effort, but its singing was so bad, it scared the animals.

The owl owner, who observed the centipede's trajectory, said to him:

– Maricota, have you ever flown, swam and still insist on singing?

– Of course Mrs. Owl, I know I can!

– Maricota you will never be a singer! God gave the talent to sing for bem-te-vi, the thrush, the black bird, the curio… God gives each one the talents he deserves.

Already tired, the centipede decided to give up:

– Thank you, Mr. Bem-te-vi, I agree with the owl friend, from now on I will make better use of the talents that God has given me.

Maricota the centipede, he came back humming to his little house after having fulfilled part of her dreams.
