There was a woman who was devoted to religion. She always visited the king's palace to meet the queen, who was very fond of her.
One day, the queen gave her a very precious necklace and asked her to take care of the necklace while she took a bath. The woman placed the necklace on a pillow and closed her eyes to pray.
While she was praying, a magpie came in there and took the necklace away. The bird hid the necklace inside a crack in the palace wall.
When the queen returned, she asked for her necklace, but it was not found.
The king learned about the stolen necklace. He asked his soldiers to arrest the religious woman and put her in prison.
After a few days, while the king and queen were sitting in the garden, they saw a bird pulling the necklace from the crack in the wall. The king asked the guards to take the bird's collar. He realized his mistake and immediately ordered the religious woman to be released. He apologized to her and offered her money, but she declined. She forgave the king and left, vowing never to go to anyone's house again.
