An old donkey had fallen into a well and was screaming for help.
Its owner and other villagers got together and tried to get him out of the well, but all their efforts failed. The villagers advised the donkey's owner to leave him in the well to die. However, the owner loved his donkey very much, who had been with him for many years.
He then had an idea: he got a shovel and started to throw dirt into the well. At first, the donkey and the villagers couldn't understand what the owner was trying to do, but the donkey saw that its owner had thrown dirt on one side of the well and created a hill. The donkey immediately climbed that hill. Then its owner started to throw dirt on the other side of the well and created a hill that was higher than the first one. The donkey climbed the new hill.
When the villagers saw what the donkey's owner was trying to do, they started to help him. They all started to throw dirt into the well, to create little mounds on which the donkey could step. Gradually and gradually, the donkey reached the edge of the well and was reunited with its beloved owner.
